Israel’s Mega Mix

June 7th, 2010 1 comment

Wow, my first trip to Israel has been a unique experience in culture mixtures!  In such a small country there are so many mixtures it makes my head swim! What a delight to meet so many people from so many countries – some living here, some visiting.  I got to be in Jewish homes, Arab homes and met Russians and Americans and people from Philippines, Holland and on and on and on!  Everyone seems to have a different idea, way of living, looking and believing!  God loves unique expressions of His image and seems to delight in diversity!  As I sort through the myriad of things that need putting away from traveling over the last two months, a maid sounds great! It is reminding me of incredible experiences with people, experiences that delight my soul, bring a roar of laughter, and some that linger in sadness. What a God! What a life!

Gideon’s Army Returns from Samar, Philippines

May 5th, 2010 No comments

Philippine Street

Update from Rindy Reeves on Aglow Transformation trip to Eastern Samar in the Philippines in April.

Little is much when placed in God’s hands. How true we found this to be! Our Filipino host, director of Church Multiplication Coalition in the Philippines, Jill Boyonas, likened us to Gideon’s army. Many circumstances combined to reduce our team to only two – me and Carolyn Richardson from Florida.

Rindy and Carolyn off to preach.

God is smiling as I add that both Carolyn and I are quiet, shy women who don’t consider ourselves speakers, preachers, or teachers! All of heaven must have been cheering for us, and I know many of you were praying for us as we gave it our all and stepped out of our comfort zones to do what the Lord was asking us to do. The Kinkaids, a couple from England, joined us for the mission, and we all flowed in unity with the awesome Filipino team, which included three American resident missionaries.

We ministered to 5,896 people in the eastern part of the province of Samar, where witchcraft abounds and only 2% of the people are evangelical Christians. Until this year! In the 10 days in which we visited 4 towns, 4727 souls came into the Kingdom! And God is smiling!

Of the many healings that took place during the crusades, the following were outstanding:
1. A cancerous lump the size of a marble in the breast of one lady immediately disappeared after prayer.
2. A young boy who was deaf and mute began hearing and speaking.
3. A gentleman in his 30s who could not stand for a prolonged time because of pain in his right leg walked three miles after the crusade without pain. He texted his pastor the following day to report of his healing.

Rindy and friends

Nine months before this trip, while in Ethiopia, I dreamed that I was pregnant with a baby named “Harvest.” The new birth of these souls in the Philippines is only the beginning! We are making disciples (we saw 53 new Bible studies and 2 new churches started while we were there) and transforming the world, one heart at a time.

Virginia Aglow Retreat Freedom

April 26th, 2010 No comments

WOW!  What a team, what a joy.  Truly God was in our midst!  If you live near these amazing Virginia gals and guys – jump in, the water’s fine!  Freedom range once again!  The freedom bell rung loud – to be what God has designed, called and anointed them to be!  It was a water level raising time for all of us for sure!  God’s tangible presence could be felt in dramatic ways!

Healing testimony of a gal with a foot issue in pain chronically that was totally healed, jumping up and down and others believing they were healed that needed to get confirmation further soon.

Tiredness was reported over and over…just heavy weights of life -lifted by God’s presence into a Holy Spirit Party, singing dancing and walking in the unique expressions of God’s Spirit in just lovely ways.

We were all encouraged.  It sounds like a simple word, but it was dynamic and life-changing and all because He was there with us!  Good reports keep coming in and we all trust we will never be the same!

Another Great Opportunity

April 5th, 2010 No comments

I would like to invite you on a short and different mission trip to be a part of
the Arab Festival in Dearborn, MI.For the last four years Aglow
women and some men have been coming along a ministry
named Impact International in running the Arab Festival.
This Festival draws around 300,000
people in the three day weekend of June 18-20. If you have
any interest in Arab/Muslim culture, this is a wonderful opportunity
to see it in action without having to travel a long distance. In Dearborn is
the largest concentation of Arab/Muslims outside of the Middle East.

We will be leading a tour around
Dearborn and discussing “I” on Thursday afternoon and Friday
morning. Also we will be devoting Friday afternoon to prayer for
the event, those involved and the people of Dearborn. Friday evening to
Sunday evening we will be at the Festival.

Our responsibilities are basically serving the Arab Chamber of Commerce
with the actual organization of the Festival. Examples are hospitality with
vendors, crowd and parking control, helping in the children’s tent, clean up
and relationship building. This is NOT an opportunity to verbally share but rather a time
to learn and be a servant. It is a far different experience that any other TT trip as
we are able to communicate only with our actions and demeanor not our words.

Please let me know if you or any of your friends might be interested
in helping by emailing me at cerbes@excite.com or phoning
at 616-532-4257. Any questions or suggestions are welcome.

Peruvian Team Home 2010

April 5th, 2010 7 comments

Most of the team have arrived home after a hard working yet fruitful team trip.  Miriam remains visiting her family a few days.  Ilene and Louis are off touring in the mountains before they travel home.  The challenges were in communication, a small amount of sickness, sometimes coming home from praying for sick around midnight and some long rides in a van, alongside continual activity changes happening several times within a few minutes!  Through it all, God was glorified, people praying the salvation prayer, dynamic testimonies of healing (eyesight restored, speech restored, arthritis gone, pains leaving, heart palpitations gone) and on and on came the testimonies!  Freedom came from severe demonic oppressions! God planted seeds of His dynamic love over and over again and we look forward to their future harvesting! Believers encouraged and blessed with the tangible presence of God while others spoke in their heavenly language for the first time. How excited they were when they began hearing God’s heart of love for their needs.  It brought tears and gentle release from the Holy Spirit!  We marched in a pro-life parade in Lima with thousands of others and were interviewed on various stations.  More than 10 new Bible studies were opened in homes from new converts at the follow up time after the campaigns when the free Bibles were given away.  We met with lovely ladies who are interested in Aglow and many pastors asking to have an Aglow in their church setting.  Through it all, as God always does, bountiful fruit remains!  Praise God for His grace and the wonders of His love!

August 2010 Rejuvenation Reactivation Philippines

Rejuvenation and Transformation for Aglow in Philippines August 2010

Hi, I am Lois Koss, a transformation team leader.  It is amazing the wonderful people you meet on the teams and overseas. My first trip to the Philippines was June 2007. I wanted to go to the Philippines since my daughter had been on a short term trip there 24 years earlier. Now it was my turn! It was amazing how God put the team together with women from all over the U.S. Most of us did not know each other, but it soon seemed as though we had been friends forever! We were invited by the Church Multiplication Coalition in the Philippines. We preached at concerts, went to mayor’s offices, visited schools and evangelized and prayed for healing in the market place. We saw thousands come to the Lord and thousands healed. Over 100 Bible studies were established during the time we were there.

In March of 2008, I was co-leader for a team to the Island of Negros in the Philippines. Again, we went into the schools, prisons, and a hospital to share the Gospel. One high school had 3000 students. Everywhere we went there was such openness to the Gospel. I spoke at one of the concerts with an estimated crowd of 800 people. I was later informed by one of the pastors that every person had come forward to receive Jesus as their Savior. I often shared my testimony of how the Lord healed me of epilepsy years ago, when I was unable to travel far from home by myself and now I had traveled 10,000 miles away from home to share the love of Jesus!

Pastor Tessie Felicio the National Aglow President of the Philippines, has asked me to come in August of this year with a team to help train and minister to the Aglow women as well as pastors/leaders of churches. This will be a teaching/training trip with conferences and retreats in three different regions….Laguna, Negros and Davao City.

Will you join us in this life changing experience? Have questions? Contact Lois Koss at loisemk@sbcglobal.net

TRUST HONOR AND HOLY

March 13th, 2010 1 comment

Numbers 20:12  ”But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”    Trust equals honor and honor equals God lifted up as holy in the sight of humankind!  Father God, we choose to trust you, honor you and be ambassadors of your goodness so others will see you as God.

Psalm 56:3, 4  ”When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.  What can mortal man do to me?” 56:9b “…By this I will know that God is for me.”
