Jesus Saved the Best Until Last
On the third day of pre-conference meetings in Louisville, KY, last month, I was asked to close the Worldwide Leaders Summit with communion. As I sat with my Bible open on my lap, waiting for the last event to come to closure, and for our time of taking communion together to begin, my attention was drawn to John 2. This is the story of the wedding in Cana of Galilee and Jesus turning water into wine. The Holy Spirit began to speak to me about the Aglow ministry through this scripture in a way that is not the “usual” way for communion. Yet I knew it was His voice.
As you know, Jesus, His disciples and His mother were guests at the wedding. After the wedding had gone on for a while the supply of wine ran out. Jesus told the servants to fill several large pots with water and they did.

I sensed the Lord saying, Aglow has also celebrated the work of My hand these past 42 years. But as you began to sense that you were running out of the wine of My first outpouring, you did the only thing you knew to do. You filled the pots with water… waiting for My next outpouring. You knew that Aglow was something of My Spirit. You knew it had not come to its end. You have been faithful. You have waited on Me. And you did what you knew to do… you filled the pots with water. There is no condemnation. There were no evil motives. You have merely walked toward the light. You have been learning to live heaven to earth. You have contended for a new level of faith.
And now I am saying, I have come to turn that water into wine. I have saved the best wine until last. This is a new day for Aglow. The celebration will continue for there is another wedding feast yet to come, the wedding feast of the Lamb.
And Jesus performed a miracle at our conference that continues in our ministry today. Beginning with the board of directors meeting on the first day, continuing with International Council and Leaders Summit on days 2 and 3, our worship celebration on day 4 and the incredible, interwoven messages from God delivered by our speakers on days 5, 6, and 7, Jesus has touched our beings and transformed us.
The number 7, used over 700 times in the Bible and 54 times in the Book of Revelations denotes completeness and perfection. The number 42 is the number associated with Israel’s oppression and Christ’s coming to earth, both the first and the second time.*
The Lord has truly saved the best until last and He has great plans for us as we walk toward the light of His countenance.

Jane, Love the new blog. Thank you for the word of encouragement. There have been times I wanted to quit, but then God in His mercy shows me the results of what Aglow has meant to me and so many other women and I get stirred up again. Dear Jane,
I am writing you from Jamaica being thankful for your blog so that this testimony can be shared. This will keep us more on the pulse of the “now” word from the Lord, in a more direct way. I started 2009 feeling that I would not be attending the conference this time around. Then when I got to August the exciting for conference began to rise. Still not sure how the Lord was going to work this out, the group from our St. Andrew Lighthouse that was interested in going continued in prayer (as is customary). By the time we got to the week before conference 6 of the 8 of us were confirmed to travel. Two of us saw no money to go; we also had personal family business to take care of so it would not have been practical to leave at that time. My friend (also Jamaica’s Natl. Prayer Coordinator) received a prophetic word at our Lighthouse meeting the week before: “Why are they looking for your ticket? Don’t they know that your ticket is RESERVED?!!!” Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 in morning I received an email from AGLOW “It’s not to late to reserve your space at the conference – online!” I nearly fell off my seat! I got on the phone immediately called my friend, told her about the email. Next I registered online for the live feed, then borrowed a multi-media projector and a laptop. Called our Advisors and Lighthouse members along with some from neighbouring Lighthouses and invited them to join us for the conference. My friend set up a make-shift screen at her home so we could watch on a larger screen. AWESOME!!! Daddy took us to conference, fed us, partyed with us, we saw friends from across the world we had previously met at other conferences and we participated in the sessions – we were able to partake in this historical love feast! We attended conference 2009 in, in Kentucky in fine style and fashion. Bless you and your dynamic team for this historical move to online conferencing. Our Lord is a dynamic God and His ways are past finding out – who would have thought! Faithful He is! We are no longer the same! We are truly thankful!
I love Aglow! And I love the sensitivity that this ministry has had since it was birth. We listen for the heart beat of God. And in doing so we find that our heart beats faster because of the excitement of what God is doing in our lives.
God is moving and using His women through this wonderful ministry of Aglow to fullfill His purpose on this earth. Yes He saves the best wine for last. Then the world will take notice that Gods hand is at work and not mans.
Thank you Aglow for leading, teaching and helping me fullfill Gods call on my life. You are a blessing to my life and love the heart beat you have…it beats like the Lords!

This message is exactly what God has been speaking to me about in the last few months. This is confirming all the things that He has told me, that I was to start a Lighthouse in my area. He told me just this last weekend that He would increase 777 times what I was going to do for Him. God is so good and gracious to those who give Him everything. He said that I should stop trying to fit in the box because I don’t fit in the box because I am part of the new wine HE has and is distributing around the world.
