Depart for Israel from USA and other nations.

DAY 2: Tuesday, April 28, 2015

Arrive Ben Gurion Airport transfer to hotel in Jerusalem, Israel.

DAY 3: Wednesday, April 29, 2015

Breakfast in a separate Aglow dining room. In the same dining room we will have our opening session with greetings and orientation by Jane Hansen-Hoyt President/CEO Aglow International and members of the Israel Council. At mid-morning, we will drive to Mt. of Olives where we will be joined by our Messianic friends from Revive Israel for a key time of prayer and proclamation. We then drive to Mt. Zion to the Upper Room of the Last Supper for worship and prayer. After lunch in the Old City we journey to the Garden Tomb. We end the day with Communion and time to for meditation. Return to the hotel for dinner.

DAY 4: Thursday, April 30, 2015

Breakfast at our hotel. Early morning departure for the Temple Mount where we walk the grounds in silent prayer. Leave all Bibles, crosses, and Christian jewelry in your hotel and dress modestly. After the Temple Mount 1st timers will tour the Christian Quarter – walk through to Jewish Quarter, and Herodian Mansion. After lunch, 1st timers will visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum, where they will go on guided tours through the extensive exhibits.

After the Temple Mount, multi-timers will visit the Chain of Generations exhibit and tour the Old City and the Cardo on their own. Both groups return to the hotel for dinner. This evening first timers will see the Laser Sound & Light show at David’s Citadel. Multi-timers – City of David by Night show. Be sure to bring a wrap as it can get cool in the evening.

DAY 5: Friday, May 01, 2015

Breakfast at our hotel. Our day begins with a gathering with Rachel Frankel, mother of slain teenager Naftali Frankel. She has become “the face” of anguish that Jewish people have lived with for so many years, reflecting the tension and uncertainty of ongoing attacks against innocent people like the three teenage boys kidnapped and killed on their way home from school last summer.  She will share with us from this perspective.  Our hearts will be touched once again for the Jewish people as they live life day after day not knowing what awaits them.  Afterward we will commission one of our largest groups of Watchmen on the Wall for Israel atop Mt. Scopus and then drive to the Old City for the Watchmen on the Wall Prayer Time on the Walls of the City. We will then tour the brand new Friends of Zion Heritage Center in Jerusalem. This center is dedicated to the Christians who have stood in support of Israel and the Jewish people over the decades. Entry to the Center will be staggered to accommodate our large group. Follow the instructions of your bus captains and guides. Return to your hotel for Shabbat Dinner.

DAY 6: Saturday, May 02, 2015

Breakfast at our hotel. We will say farewell to the City of Gold and 1st time participants will head south to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. On the way we will visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Via cable car we will ascend to the summit of the fortress of Masada. Visit and swim in the Dead Sea. Remember to not shave. Also bring your bathing suit and water shoes as the shore is rocky and there is medicinal mud to play in. Sunscreen and hats are recommended. Drink lots of water as the desert will suck moisture out of you and you can become dehydrated without even feeling thirsty.

Multi-timers will be heading north to Beit Shean for an overview of this remarkable archaeological site. It was here that after defeating Saul and his sons on Mount Gilboa, the Philistines hanged their bodies on the walls of Beit Shean. Next we will visit the City of Peace, Tzipori during the period of the Great Revolt, Diocaesarea during the Bart Kochva revolt, the home of Rabbi Yehuda Nassi and the seat of the Sanhedrin in the 3rd century CE. It was an important Christian city in Byzantine times, a city and fortress of the Galilee principalities during the Crusader period. The tour is impressive both visually and in terms of the sites, especially Dionysus House, the synagogue, the Nile Holiday house and ancient water reservoir. Let us not forget that this is the birthplace of Mary, home of Anne & Joachim. Drive to Mt. Arbel for a view of the Sea of Galilee before checking into your hotel.

We all meet together for dinner at our hotel on the shore of the Sea of Galilee.

DAY 7: Sunday, May 03, 2015

Breakfast at our hotel. (Be sure to bring your bathing suits today if you are doing to be baptized or rededicated in the Jordan River.) Our day begins with boarding our replica Wooden Boat and sailing across the Sea of Galilee to Ginosaur. Visit the “Ancient Jesus Boat” – the remains of a 2,000 year old boat that was discovered in 1986. This boat was used at the time of Jesus and his disciples. We will continue to Tabgha – the site of the Feeding of the 5,000 and Primacy of Peter (Matt. 13, Mark 33-45, & John 21). Here we will visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor.

We will continue on to the 2,000 year old remains of Capernaum (Matt. 4:13 13:54, 17:24, Luke 7, Mark 1:2, John 4:46-54). Here we can stand in what is left of the synagogue in which Jesus ministered. It was from this city that Jesus did most of his Galilean ministry, where he performed many miracles, and where Peter’s mother-in-law lived and was healed. After lunch we will visit the Mount of Beatitudes (Matt. 5-8), where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. We will conclude this remarkable day with a visit to Yardenit – the wonderful baptismal site on the Jordan River. We will then return to our hotel for dinner.

DAY 8: Monday, May 04, 2015

After breakfast, we will drive up to the northern border where we will visit Kibbutz Misgav Am. An up-to-date briefing on the northern border followed by a visit with the soldiers that guard this important border. Remember to bring your gifts for the soldiers! We will continue to visit Banias – ancient Caesarea Philippi where Jesus said to Peter, “On this rock I will build my Church.” We will drive through the Golan Heights and hear the story of the Yom Kippur War before returning to the Sea of Galilee and our hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 9: Tuesday, May 05, 2015

This morning we will load our motor coaches and make our way to the seaside city of Tel Aviv. Our first stop will be Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first public miracle – the turning of water into wine at a wedding feast (John 2:1-11). We will take in an unforgettable view of the city of Nazareth from the top of Mt. Precipice, also known as Mount of Precipitation, or Mount of the Leap of the Lord. It is believed to be the site of the rejection of Jesus. Continue to Mt. Carmel (Muhraka), where Elijah issued his challenge to the False Prophets. Our final visit of the day will be at Caesarea Maritima on the Mediterranean coast, which was a center for early Christians. Here Cornelius the Centurion and his household were saved and baptized (Acts 10), and it was also here where Paul made his defense before Festus and King Agrippa prior to his final journey to Rome. Arrive at Tel Aviv and check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight

DAY 10: Wednesday, May 06, 2015

On our last tour day in Israel, we will travel to Yad Hashmonah – the home of the Revive Israel Messianic Movement in Israel. A special program is being put together by our friend Asher Intrater for Aglow International. We will have lunch in the Yad Hashmonah dining room ($17 will be collected prior to this day). At the end of the day we will all meet together on the Mediterranean shore at the Café London to say Shalom to our friends, old and new. Those participants leaving before midnight will be boarding buses for the airport at 7:30 PM. Others will receive their departure schedules timed for their flights.
