Opening Prayer

Aglow International 45 years

Aglow International  – 45 years of ministry

Dave McDaniel opened the session in prayer reminding us that goodness and mercy shall follow us, He sings over us, and He goes before us. So we are fully surrounded and infused with Him.

AIM

Diane Fink related a letter she received from one of the AIM students. The student wrote, “Through this course I received a deeper revelation of who I am in Christ. When I know whose I am, then I know who I am. I learned that knowing who I am is a much greater agent of change than doing the right thing.”

Sign up for an <<AIM>> class today!

Men’s Meeting

Rick Allen gave an account of the Men’s Meeting which took place on Friday. Men reported that in Aglow God is taking them to a whole new level of freedom in worship and prayer. Men are rising to their rightful place in the kingdom.

Islam Mandate

Through the prayer and support of Aglow, 234 episodes of Diwaniya for Women have been produced. Diwaniya is a television program that is viewed throughout the world reaching into the homes of Muslim women bringing them the message of freedom in Christ. Some of the episodes can now be viewed on YouTube. Find out more at <<http://www.arablights.com>>.

Diane Moder has put together some outstanding CDs with valuable insight into Islam, the Muslim Brotherhood, and current events in the Muslim world. Click <<here>> to find out more about the Islam Mandate or email Diane at <<IslamMandate@gmail.com>>.

Offering

Jane and Tony received the offering together. They talked about Aglow being the fragrance of God throughout the world as men and women individually, and corporately. As we give into Aglow we are spreading His fragrance throughout 2/3 of the nations of the earth. But we’re not stopping there! We are pressing forward to reach every nation with the gospel.  As our new tagline says, Every nation touched, every heart changed.

Weapons of Warfare

The Weapons of Warfare worship and dance ministry gave another powerful performance shattering strongholds and bringing freedom in our hearts. Visit them on Facebook at <<http://www.facebook.com/weaponsofwarfare>>.

Worship

The dance anointing continued into the evening worship. Talk about dancing like David danced! Thank you, Klaus and team, for leading us in worship again for this conference. The worship was over the top!

Declarations

Jane and Aglow leaders led us in making powerful declarations over the United States. As we fast and pray for the elections, let’s declare these things in our personal time with the Lord, and in our gatherings.

  • We declare that there is a powerful move of God’s Spirit coming to this nation. It may not look like what we think, but we will know God is in it, that He is arising, that He is going to show Himself strong to the people of this nation.
  • We declare that a righteous King rules the United States of America, and we bow only to His sovereignty, His majesty, and His righteousness.
  • We declare that this nation is in covenant with our God and it is in line with Israel. This is one nation under God. We are a Christian nation.
  • We serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He has never lost His power. He will continue to rule, continue to reign, and His will, will be accomplished.
  • We declare that God’s people will arise and establish a standard for righteousness in this nation as one voice in unity we stand.
  • We declare that our children and our children’s children will have a land that is free and they will be able to praise and worship the Lord God almighty.
  • We declare that the whole nation will hear the roar of the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
  • We declare that the people of the United States will and are returning to their God.
  • Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. We declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha-Mashiach as Lord God over the United States of America.
  • We declare what King David the warrior said – Lift up your heads oh you gates, and be lifted up, you everlasting doors of the United States of America and the King of Glory will come in. Who is the King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, oh you gates. Be lifted up you everlasting doors and the King of Glory shall come in. Who is the King of Glory? The Lord of Hosts! He is the King of glory.
  • We declare that this nation is safe and protected from outside attack or even from terrorists within our own borders. We declare the blood of Jesus over this nation from the north to the south, from the east to the west. And that those who have come within our borders have come to an encounter with the living God. We cancel unrighteous purposes, unrighteous deeds, unrighteous plans, and we call for Almighty God to come in a powerful way to the United States of America. May the people of God arise!

Jane – Closing Statements

Key Points

We aren’t leaving here the same as we came, because we’ve given Him all of our excuses. For 8 years, in various ways God has been telling us  how we are known in heaven. Our story has been unfolding. He’s been telling us the outcome from the beginning, so we would have confidence in our journey. At the conference in 2004 Graham spoke about how acceleration was on this ministry. God has been building layer upon layer, line upon line, so that we are standing in this place a far different people than we were then. Jane has been marinating in the prophetic words that have been spoken over this ministry for the last 8 years. It is critical that we have daily time with the Lord. The more we marinade in Him and the words He has given, the deeper it goes in our spirits. It’s not about speed reading the Bible, it’s about coming to know the One who wrote it.

In Hosea 2 God said He would “allure her into the wilderness.” Allure is a courting term, not of coercion, but of wooing. The Word goes on to say, “He will speak comfort to her, and He will give her, her vineyard from there.” When you emerge from the wilderness you come out very rich. The door of hope forms in the wilderness. A new sound and song has been formed in us in that place. When the Israelites came out of Egypt they sang a song of deliverance and victory. A divine exchange occurs in the wilderness. We come to know Him in a way we did not know Him before. He becomes our lover and our husband. He has given us a revelation of Himself that has wrecked our world.

Aglow has been reinvented into a transformational kingdom culture whose mindset is not of this world. We are bringing this into our spheres of influence throughout the globe. We are a worshipping company of transformers. We have risen to a new identity.

Accumulation and Culmination

Recently, God spoke 2 words to Jane – accumulation, and culmination. There is a cumulative effect of the faithfulness of the people of Aglow. Prayers are accumulated in heaven, and when the bowls are full they begin to turn and pour out having an effect in the earth. We have come to the point of culmination in this ministry. There is a fullness in heaven that is being poured out upon us by His spirit, and will be poured out through us by His spirit. We’ve been waiting for this moment, and this moment has come.

It is time to arise!

Upgrade Discussion Session

We’ve been hearing a lot of truths since 2003 and especially the last few years. The purpose of the Saturday afternoon Upgrade Sessions was to give people a chance to explore together some of these truths and the meaning they have in our lives personally, and within the ministry of Aglow corporately.

Nancy McGuirk and Jane Hansen Hoyt

Nancy McGuirk and Jane Hansen Hoyt

The Upgrade Sessions were held in four different rooms, facilitated by Aglow leaders. Here on the blog, we’re featuring the session that Jane facilitated.

Jane Hansen Hoyt – We feel like we are moving into the fullness of our upgrade in such incredible ways. We have found that the more opportunity we have to talk together about the truths that are being spoken to us, the greater our understanding becomes. As we marinade in these truths, ingest them, and meditate on them, we find more and more that it really is becoming part of our language and understanding. Graham said that there can no longer be a disparity between our corporate identity and our individual and local identity. God is lifting us up individual and corporately. We are learning to live from new mindsets. Our identity is the key to this kind of transformation.

Questions were prepared for the audience so they could split up into groups of 3-5 for discussion. Then a representative from the group was asked to share some key points of their dialog with the entire audience.

How does the picture you have of God determine your identity?

Brenda, California – “How you see God is how you see yourself. It also influences how you relate to other people.” In the midst of a time when Brenda was experiencing marital problems, she cried out to the Lord and said, “If I get a divorce, You will hate me, because You hate divorce.” The Lord told her that she didn’t know His heart. What He hated was what it was doing to her. He hated that it was ripping her apart. Then God reassured her of His love. Knowing that she was loved by Him took her love walk with other people to a whole new level.

Nancy McGuirk, U.S. Regional Director – Nancy grew up with a mindset that when she did something wrong there were consequences, and she was swiftly punished. This has made it hard for her to accept the unconditional love of the Father. Currently Nancy is dealing with some hip problems, and it has been suggested that she is wrestling with God, or is in some kind of rebellion. While she has examined herself, she is coming to realize that God does not operate like that. Knowing that He is always good, and she is a loved child whether she has been perfect or has blown it, is helping her be at peace through this trial.

Jane Hansen Hoyt – We are to “call people up, not out”. Instead of telling someone that they are in rebellion we should speak to one another of who God is and of His great love for us. How you perceive Him is how you receive Him. He wants us to be so solid that we view everything through the lens of His goodness.

As we face difficult situations are we being challenged by God or by the enemy?

Jackie, California – “When we face difficult situations we are being challenged by God, but He uses the enemy.” As a counselor, Jackie feels there are 3 main areas where people get stuck; generational sins, the lies that we believe, and the sins we are trapped in. The solution is to give Him our “stuff” so we can be free.

Michelle, Kentucky – Recently, Michelle wrote a paper called “Minus Me”. When a difficult situation comes along she asks God to show her the truth of what is happening from His perspective, “minus me”. This allows her heart to be open for God to show her how to see things from someone else’s perspective, thus opening the door for a more compassionate response.

Sande Lofberg, U.S. Regional Director – The immediate reaction of Sande’s group to the question was, “yes”. God puts something of His character in us and we don’t really know what’s in us until a difficulty arises. These things allow us to know not only who we, are but whose we are. When Sande bakes bread she “proofs” it, which means she allows the yeast that she put in it to do its job. The Holy Spirit is in us doing His job.

Jane Hansen Hoyt – If we believe we’re being challenged by heaven, then we are learning to process everything through majesty. No matter what comes, we’re His and He is ours.

What part of your current identity needs an upgrade, and what truth is the Father wanting you to embrace at this time?

Karen, Hawaii – Up until a few weeks ago, Karen was living as a “spiritual anorexic”. God embraced her and said, “Come to the table and eat. You don’t have to settle for the crumbs”.

Robert, California – Robert is receiving an upgrade in trusting God, knowing that He is giving him sufficient light to see his next step.

Janet McGee, U.S. Regional Director – I cannot be modified, but I have been transformed.

Describe limitless living from your daily perspective.

Stacy, Oregon – Limitless living is like a never ending cup of coffee. When people around you are being difficult, the Holy Spirit comes around to give you a warm-up.

John, South Dakota – Limitless living from a daily perspective means beginning to understand that I have no limits.

Nancy – Being a younger woman, Nancy thought that an Aglow conference was just a bunch of old ladies. She experienced the limitlessness of God moving through young and old during the sessions.

Gina, Montana – Every time you feel a rift with someone, it’s an opportunity to react out of His love instead of the flesh.

Pat, Colorado – Limitless living is not static. When the comfort of the familiar is gone we need to lean into The Comforter.

Jane Hansen Hoyt – God has put us in Christ which is an unfathomable state of grace with incredible favor attached to it. It is in this place that everything is possible, doable, and obtainable. We have to let go of the old way of thinking to enter into the new thing that He has.

How is the Holy Spirit teaching you to reframe your thinking and speaking?

He has taught me to disagree with myself when my thinking doesn’t align with His.

Kathy, Texas – Kathy, a former kindergarten teacher, said that by the time a child is 5 years old they have been taught to believe many negative things about themselves. She taught her students a song – You put your good thoughts in, you take the bad thoughts out, you put your good thoughts in and you concentrate on that. You stop your stinking thinking and you turn your life around. That’s what it’s all about.

Melissa, California – The abundant life is from ear to ear.

Cindy, California – It’s all about changing the atmosphere. There is good in any situation.

Jane Hansen Hoyt – A mindset cannot be changed. It has to be replaced.

What does living in the favor of God mean to you?

Kay Rogers – When children are growing up they look to see who gets the biggest portion, thinking that if one child gets more the others will get less. Everybody living in the kingdom of God gets the biggest piece.

Karen, Connecticut – Living in the favor of God means that God goes before us, so that all that we do will be accomplished in a greater way than we can imagine.

Fran, Alaska – Lift up your eyes, it’s time for you to walk in favor. Rise from the dust, for great is Jesus, your reward. Cease your slavery and labor, step into the realm of favor, and gain your plunder by the supernatural wisdom of our God.

Dianne, Netherlands – Living in God’s favor means you know that you are His favorite.

Jane Hansen Hoyt – Because we are in Christ, walking in favor means that we can walk in the same relationship with the Father that Jesus has. That’s why we’re called joint heirs with Christ. It’s not about performance, it’s about placement. He’s placed you between the Father and the Son. Favor is relationship.

“We live under His smile of approval. “

October 6 – Saturday Morning Session

Opening Prayer

Glenda Fleming, US Regional Director, opened the session in prayer declaring over Aglow that before He formed us in the womb He knew us, and declared our days and our purpose in the earth. We are yours, Lord! Where you lead us, we will follow. Let it be said of us that we are those who are turning the United States and the world upside down.

Israel

As part of our upgrade, God is adding a new expression to the Israel mandate. It’s time to put feet to our prayers concerning the nation of Israel. Part of the new identity of Aglow is governmental authority. We now have an opportunity to speak into the mountain of government making our voices known in the very halls of congress. We are partnering with <<AIPAC>>, an established organization which lobbies on behalf of US/Israel relationships, and whose primary focus is the security of Israel. As we receive information from AIPAC we will send out Aglow Action Alerts which will notify you by email when legislation concerning Israel is coming up for a vote in congress. Within the alert will be information on how you can contact your elected officials and make your voice heard. To sign up for the Aglow Action Alerts please send an email to <<aglowisraelmandate@gmail.com>> and request to be added to the list.

Graham Cooke – Identity

Key Points to the Message

“We’re not dealing with negatives, we’re dealing with the possibilities of the kingdom.”

Church

We have to make a shift in our hearts to understand the beauty and majesty of God. When the kingdom is not central to who we are and how we live, then all we have is church. Church by itself is only legalistic religion when it is separate from the kingdom. Everything we do in ministry should cause alignments in people. We need to get closure on the old man. It’s essential for us to focus on the new man and consider the old man truly dead. Our pastoral thinking must shift to embrace this truth.

Prophecy

When God gives us a prophetic word He is introducing us to our future. Oftentimes it doesn’t make sense to us in the present because we’re not there yet. Go back and look at previous words that have been given to you. They may make more sense to you today than they did when they were given.

“What we are doing in Aglow in these days is not just speaking to your present, we’re connecting you to your future.”

Rejoicing in where you are now positions you for an upgrade.  You may be behind the time of your development, but God is a redeemer, and He knows how to make up for lost time. There is so much freedom coming your way.

Identity – The Key to Transformation

God wants us to ask questions. The 2 best questions in the Bible are asked in the book of Acts. What does this mean, and what must I do? Never ask the ‘why’ question because it never gets answered on earth. It’s an invalid question which makes you an invalid. If we ask the right questions God reveals His identity to us, and He reveals our identity to us.

Moses asked to see the glory of God. God showed him His goodness, and then told him how He was known in heaven. When Jesus read from the scroll in the temple He was telling the people how He was known in heaven. In John 16:5-15 Jesus speaks to the disciples about the description of the assignment of the Holy Spirit, how he is known in heaven, and how he would be known on the earth. It is imperative that we comprehend how we are known in heaven so that our destiny can be fulfilled on the earth. When we grasp this, our prayer life changes. Whatever God orders He pays for.

Prophetic Words

When we get a prophetic word it is telling us how we are known in heaven. God is speaking something from our future into our present. Our question should then be, “What kind of man or woman do I need to become in order to see that word fulfilled?” The word is not just about a ministry, it’s about your identity, and your identity is about an upgrade in your personality.

We have multiple identities, such as father, brother, son, etc., but only one personality. We are many things to many people. Each identity has its own level of fullness and a provision attached to it.

Graham Cooke

Graham Cooke at Saturday morning session

Pay close attention when you read a passage of scripture that jumps off the page and captures your heart. God is giving you a key to the transformation of your identity and revealing your inheritance. If there is someone’s name in that passage, God is telling you that you can have the same experiences that they had.

The gap between prophecy spoken and prophecy fulfilled is the territory where you get changed as a human being, so that you can become the kind of person that is necessary for those things to come to pass. The question you need to ask is, “What kind of person do I need to be to fulfill that word?” Every circumstance you encounter is designed to take you higher so you can step into that identity and embrace that destiny.

The journey is not just about you getting there, it’s about who you become along the way. When we allow God to change us, we are developing in our personality the identity that God sees for us in heaven.

A prophetic word should be the end of whining. Your words need to align with the new identity that has just been spoken over you.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit are always praying for you. What if you are the third part of a threefold cord of prayer? What if prayer is not praying towards God, it’s praying with Him? What if it’s not praying to find an answer, it’s praying with the answer? We’re coming into alignment with heaven. A promise means the end of petitioning prayer, and the beginning of declaration and confession.

The Wilderness

When God is pleased with you He takes you into the wilderness. After the dove ascended on Jesus and God declared that He was pleased with Him, the next place God took Him was into the wilderness. When the Israelites were released from Egypt, God took them into the wilderness to take a rabble of slaves and turn them into a disciplined army. The wilderness is a place of no distractions. It’s a place where He can get your attention.

Hosea 2:14-15 says that He leads us into the wilderness to speak kindly to us and give us a door of hope. The wilderness is always about you inheriting the next thing. He wants to give you something huge in that place.

Your Inheritance Word

When God gives you your inheritance word He’s giving you an elevated status in Jesus. Your inheritance word tells you the next level God wants you to live on, gives you legal authority over the enemy, and gives you permission to overcome every obstacle. God wants to put promises in your life that turn you into a different man and a different woman.

God spoke an inheritance word to Gideon when He called Him a mighty man of valor and told him that he would deliver Israel. The last thing Gideon felt like was a deliverer. When we receive prophecies, promises, and inheritance words, the negativity in us rises to the top. The word hangs over our head like a magnet pulling out negativity. God ignores that, and relates to us like we already have the character necessary to obtain the promise. If our vision of ourselves is not compatible with the promise, we are the ones that need to change. Our words need to come in line with our promises.

To embrace your inheritance three things need to change: your perception, your thinking, and your language.

Warriors don’t look for rescue, they look for majesty. It doesn’t matter if you are surrounded by wolves if your best friend is a lion.

We need to live our lives in the present looking toward our future. God is relating to us from the future looking into our present. When those 2 connect all heaven breaks loose.

As He is, so are we in this world. We are stepping into our true identities. We are learning to run!

October 5 – Friday Evening Session

October 7th, 2012 No comments

In the Friday evening session Klaus opened the meeting with the song I am Free. What a great way to begin – declaring our freedom!

Human Trafficking

Jessica Wilson has a new title to add to the other hats she wears for Aglow, Anti-Human Trafficking Specialist. She was asked by Jane to do research about this industry which is conservatively estimated to have 27 million victims worldwide. Aglow is taking action by beginning with 3 steps.

1) Sign up for the Anti-Human Trafficking Newsletter on the Aglow website for prayer points.

2) Become educated. The newsletter will be a great source for this, too.

3) Become involved locally. One idea is to prayer walk your malls, and Junior and Senior High Schools, which are strategic places for recruitment into the sex industry.

We can make a difference!

Aglow Generations

Anna Hammer, our dynamo Generations Project Director, challenged the audience to “take us with you”. Whether it’s supporting a young person to go to Israel, helping them to join a Transformation outreach, or purposing in your heart to bring a young person to conference with you next year, young people are rising up and wanting to be mentored. They are wanting to be a part of the destiny God has for them. Everyone supporting and giving just a little bit would add up to so much.

Stewardship Ambassador

Deborah Kiser, one of Aglow’s Stewardship Ambassadors, asked the question, “What would it look like in your giving if you were write checks out of your ‘Bank Of Jesus’ account? It would be Jesus Christ in you pouring out everywhere you walk.”

Growing up in poverty, Deborah had the mindset that she was not worth God’s blessing. Her self-esteem was tied to her financial condition. As an adult she came into wealth, but still had a poverty mentality. God has set her free!  She now has an attitude that says, “I want to be a visual aid to humanity of what blessing looks like.”

Click <<here>> to make a donation to Aglow.

Charles Barnett

Once again Charles blessed us with song, inspiring testimony, and an anointed drum solo. Charles has been blessing Aglow conferences for many years. Love that guy!

Worship

Klaus and his team led us into the very throne room of God in worship. The awesome presence of our King filled the room, and filled our hearts with His great love!

Graham Cooke – First Love

Key Points of the Message

Opening with Revelation 13:8 and John 17:20, Graham began expounding on the subject of First Love.

The love between the Father and the Son was so profound that they were compelled to share it with someone. They wanted to create a people group who would stand between the Father and the Son and be filled with their devotion to each other, so that when the Father looked at the Son, the people group between them would be enraptured with the love He had for Jesus. And when the Son looked at the Father, the people in the middle would experience that profound love, too. They wanted these people to be changed by this great love.

Graham Cooke

Graham Cooke

Great love is based on great freedom. God didn’t want clones of Himself, so he gave people the freedom to either choose Him, or reject Him.

Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world. Before Genesis 1:1, before “Let there be light”, it was a done deal. The plan was already set in place to rescue those who would choose to turn Him away.

Wisdom

There is a place in the affections of God that is so huge, we need the mind of Christ to comprehend it. We need Wisdom to understand this kind of love.

Wisdom understands complex things and puts them in simple terms.

First Love

In Revelation 2, the church had left their first love, which is the love that existed before the foundation of the world. It is the love the Father has for the Son, and the Son for the Father.

“We have put the great commission ahead of the first commandment.”

It is our responsibility to receive love above all things, and manifest it at every opportunity. Love never fails.

We need to understand the importance of persecution, of having difficult people around you, of having people who don’t like you come into your life. Those are the people you get to practice love on.

How do you love when it is not returned? Love doesn’t seek a return.

“I am what I love, not what loves me.”

If you are easily offended, it proves that you don’t have a relationship with The Comforter.

“I will not have my life defined by the behavior of someone else. It is a growing passion in my heart to choose love, to abide in the place of unfailing love.”

Life is too short for anger, resentment, and bitterness.

The 3 Stooges

When Graham first starting walking in the prophetic ministry, there were 3 gentlemen who made life miserable for him, stirring up trouble everywhere he went with accusations, lies, and slander. They were affectionately dubbed ‘The 3 Stooges’. During that time he learned how to be faithful in season and out of season, how to press in, stand up, and be committed to what God had called him to do.

One night God gave Graham a dream where he was in the throne room sitting on the Lord’s lap. Their heads were together, and the love between them was palpable. (Dreams are God’s way of bypassing all our ‘stuff’ so He can give us encounters leading us to have real life experiences mirroring what happened in the dream.)

In the dream an angel brought in a 6’ x 4’ x 3’ block of marble and set it before Graham. Then Jesus stepped into view, stuck His finger in the marble, and etched a figure. After this, 3 sets of hands begun to sculpt the stone with chisels and hammers. The Lord told Graham that they would work faster if he encouraged them. At first he gave a feeble attempt, but then really got into it. The hands worked faster and faster, marble flying everywhere. When the sculpture was completed it was absolutely magnificent. The Lord told him that it was the finished product of what God was making Graham into. He was stunned at its beauty.

The Lord asked him if he would like to thank the sculptors. He said yes, so out from behind the statue came The 3 Stooges. God told Graham that all the people who are against him are actually part of His purpose to assist in making him into the person that God wants him to be.

From that time forward, every time the 3 men would show up to harass him at a meeting, Graham was happy to see them and greeted them with enthusiasm and kindness.

This experience began to teach Graham about ‘grace growers’. He says his wife is married to a ‘grace grower’. LOL

We are the Beloved of God

Of all the people groups on earth we are the only ones who are defined by love.  We are identified by how we are loved, and how we choose to love at every single opportunity.

The call to each one of us is to step into the place of first love, the space between the Father and the Son. You’re designed to come to a place where you can only think and act from a place of outrageous love.

Your role in the earth is to be the beloved of God. It is of utmost importance that you learn how to receive the love of God and be filled up with it to overflowing.

Everything that happens in your life is to establish love in you. It’s not our job to just tell the world that God loves them. The world needs to see you being loved by Him.  They need to see that you are confident in His affections. That will make them want to be loved by Him, too.

There may be times that there isn’t a happy ending to your circumstances. You may be wounded, persecuted, maybe even hated. But you have choices about how you respond. It is a privilege to be perfected in love, to have fear driven out of you, because the love of God is stronger than the fear of any man. You are designed to be overwhelmed by the love of God.

“Love is never reactive, it’s always responsive.”

Graham knew a family in India who had a beautiful daughter. When she was 15 years old she was gang raped by 4 men. The face of her last attacker was scorched from a burn he sustained in a fire. As he was getting up off of her after violating her, she reached out her hand, touched his face, and said, “Be healed in Jesus name.” He was instantly healed. When Graham asked her why she did it she responded, “I knew it was the man’s greatest opportunity to receive a touch from God. How could I deny him that moment?”

Just Dance

In the midst of great persecution, God taught Graham to stop praying like a victim and just dance with Him.

We ARE the beloved of God, abiding in the place between the Father and the Son. Let’s dance.

Rebranding and Creating One Sound

Jane Hansen Hoyt and Rick Allen

Jane Hansen Hoyt and Rick Allen

Jane Hansen Hoyt and Rick Allen, Director of Creative Services, tag teamed the Friday afternoon session expounding on the new Vision and Mission Statements, Tag Line, and Core Values of Aglow. We want to all be on the same page so we can walk forward in unity and purpose, enabling us to do great things. Nothing will stop us as we move forward together in one accord with one mind.

Jane opened the session by saying, “We are hearing a new sound, and adapting the language of the new sound. With the upgrades we’ve been experiencing we felt it was time to let that new sound be reflected in our Vision Statement, our Mission Statement, Tag Line, and Core Values.”

Each former Vision and Mission Statement we’ve had was appropriate for the time we were in, but we needed some new language for the new season we are walking into.

Prophetic Words

We’ve received a cluster of prophetic words since 2003 that have come with great repetition through powerful prophetic voices. Prophetic words describe how God sees us, connecting us with the next stage of our identity. They are a declaration of upgraded intention.

Rebranding of Aglow

Aglow is an organization that does not sit still. This is one of the reasons we are still growing after 45 years of ministry.

God says in referring to Israel’s past, “Forget all that — it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?” Isaiah 43: 18-19 New Living Translation

The word brand means ‘an identifying mark made by a hot iron’. The Aglow brand is more than our logo or the colors we use. It represents the essence of who we are.

Unity

Rick Allen talked about Coach Dungee of the Indianapolis Colts who led his team to a Super Bowl victory over the Chicago Bears in 2007. Dungee said of his winning team that they weren’t the most talented he had ever worked with, but they had unity. They knew who they were, supported each other, had love for each other, stood for each other, and worked together as one unit. This unity allowed them to achieve great things.

New Vision Statement

Our vision statement is both bold and broad. It is a statement that encompasses everything we do and leaves expansion for our future. Vision is not about direction. It is about the height we wish to achieve.

The vision of Aglow is to carry the truth of the Kingdom that:

• Restores people to a radiant place of relationship with God and one another

They looked to Him and were radiant. Psalm 34:5

Then you shall see and become radiant. Your heart will swell with joy because of the abundance that has been turned toward you. Isaiah 60:5

As we look to Him, we become radiant and can speak into the lives of others.

• Breaks the tyranny of oppression

Tyranny means ‘an unrestrained use of power’. We are people who have been set free in our own lives so we can see that freedom translated into the lives of others.

• Brings freedom and empowerment

Empowerment means ‘to invest power, especially legal power for decision making’. We have a legal authority that comes from heaven to break oppression in other people’s lives.

Tagline

Every nation touched, every heart changed.

The tag line is global, yet personal. It speaks of our desire to have an Aglow presence in every nation of the earth and see every heart transformed.

Mission Statement

Aglow International is a Kingdom Movement committed to seeing God’s will done on earth as it is in Heaven.

A movement has life. It has momentum, is active and powerful like an avalanche.

A good way to understand the difference between vision and mission is to add  an ‘ary’ at the end of each word. A visionary is concerned with how high he can go. A missionary is someone who puts feet to the vision.

We do this through:

• Mobilizing millions into a company of warriors, champions, and global leaders of significance.

We are such a company. That’s us! He wants us to attain great heights so we can be people of influence for Him in the earth.

• Establishing powerful Kingdom Communities founded on the fullness of Christ in every nation of the world.

We are more than just local groups, we are Kingdom Communities. A community speaks of people who support each other.

• Empowering people to develop resources that enable them to take advantage of all that God is releasing from Heaven.

This speaks to the arts, writing books, and generating income in creative ways. God will give you visions and ideas you can run with.

• Forming apostolic teams that demonstrate the power of Heaven in the darkest places of earth.

Apostolic teams push back the darkness taking new ground for God as they go. They are victorious warriors.

• Cultivating a worldwide presence that creates an atmosphere of celebration, impartation, and restoration.

This is referring to our presence in the nations, and also to our conferences, large and small, bringing His Spirit everywhere we put our feet.

Core Values

As a Kingdom Community Aglow International is abolutely committed to:

• God’s Presence – Creating an atmosphere and environment of worship for the presence of God to be encountered.(Psalm 22:3)

He is enthroned on the praises of Israel. Part of our core has always been the welcoming of the activity of the Holy Spirit. We can’t stay stuck in a particular way we have previously experience God’s presence. We need to be open to fresh ways He may come to us.

• Relationship – Treating each other with integrity, openness, honesty, non-negotiable love, and goodness.(1 Peter 4:8)

Love covers a multitude of sins. We mess up every day, but God is bringing us up to a higher place where we walk in integrity and vulnerability with each other.

“Conflict, when handled correctly, leads to intimacy.”

• Redemption – Partnering with God for the redemption of all things according to the Gospel. (Colossians 1:13-14)

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and has conveyed us to the kingdom of the son of His love. As we act kindly one towards another we are bringing redemption to the situation.

• Freedom – Standing firm against everything that enslaves. (Galatians 5:1)

Stand fast therefore, in the liberty by which Christ has made us free. Do not be entangled again in a yoke of bondage.

As we are set free we can see others set free.

• Restoration – Bringing every identity into alignment with the purposes of God. (Romans 12:2,Ephesians 4:22-24)

A new culture is being established with the redeemed of the Lord bringing restoration everywhere we go. God is adjusting things in us allowing us to live in a place of freedom.

• The Beloved – Living as a community who knows they are the beloved, and establishes their identity as the Bride. (Song of Solomon 7:10, Ephesians 1:6)

We walk in the same relationship with the Father that Jesus does as His beloved.

You are sent into the earth with the same anointing that Jesus had.

• Goodness – Demonstrating goodness as the power of God to always overcome evil. (Romans 12:21, Acts 10:38)

Demonstrating goodness can be wonderful and also challenging. We have opportunities every day to respond to difficult people with goodness. Once your mind has been renewed, your behavior will be adjusted to the level at which you’ve been renewed.

• Radiance – Having radiant encounters with God, leading to a brilliant experience of who Christ is in us. (Ephesians 1:17-20)

As we have times of intimacy with the Lord we can expect radiant encounters with Him. This opens the door for us to move more freely in the Spirit throughout the day.

• God’s Kingdom – Expressing the nature of God through reconciliation to the world He loves. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20, Colossians 1:19,20)

The word reconciliation means ‘to establish, to settle, to resolve, to make compatible’. As ministers of reconciliation we are learning to be reconciled to ourselves and to others.

“Call people up, not out.”

• Supernatural Power – Moving in signs, wonders, and miracles to demonstrate the heaven-to-earth nature of life in the Spirit. (Mark 16:17-18, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

Are you seeing signs and wonders in your own life? Sometimes we have a mindset that this only happens in church. There is a natural way that God moves in everyday life. Every one of us has experienced signs and wonders. Telling people about what He has done in your life will encourage them that He can move in their lives, too. We are His ministers in the earth. Look for the opportunities in everyday life.

That is a lot to digest! Let’s study the new Vision and Mission Statements, Core Values, and Tag Line meditating on them until they become a part of our DNA.

October 5 – Friday Morning Session

October 6th, 2012 No comments

After an opening song by Klaus that touched the heavens for the King of Glory to come in, Carolyn Suty, US Regional Director, began the session with a greeting. She is overwhelmed at the impact the Aglow conference had 2 years ago in San Jose, California. Carolyn can still sense the presence, and ‘feel’ the fragrance of the Lord over that city. She prayed over the morning session that we would have a greater visitation which leads to a greater habitation.

Heavenly Account

Diane Fink gave a powerful prophetic word.

I heard the Lord saying:

Each one of you has a heavenly account – there is an account in heaven with your name on it. You have made deposits into that account every time you have received His love and then given it away to someone else… Every time you have given in response to His prompting… Every time you have worshiped Him, prayed, been obedient to His leading. Every time you have put Him first, said “YES” to Him… A deposit was made into your account.

Aglow Transformation

Janet Mangum gave a report of the Aglow Transformation Ministry. She conservatively estimates that over 200,000 people have come before the face and voice of this arm of Aglow in the last five years. Over 80,000 people have filled out salvation cards, and over 600 churches have been started from new converts. Thousands have experienced quantifiable miracles from needs in their hearts to paralytics walking. Go God!

Stewardship Giving

Gary and Kathie Williams had some fun with the offering. Gary popped up dress like the godfather and was tongue-in-cheek strong arming the audience saying, “We can do this the easy way or the hard way!” Right on cue, Kathy jumped up and shouted “No! You weren’t not supposed to get up and be the godfather, you were supposed to talk about God the Father!” Seriously folks, the heart our heavenly Father is giving. Bobi Hromas

Matchmaker extraordinaire, Bobi Hromas shared how she introduced Jane and Tony. One morning she woke up with 2 names on her mind. Guess who. Yep, she gave both of them a call and set up a date. It took months for the meeting to take place, but when it finally did Jane showed up looking like an angel. Bobi said that the anointing was so strong on Jane when she opened the door that it felt like Jesus was on the doorstep waiting to come in.

Interesting note: Many years ago Bobi asked the Lord to show her the ministries that would be instrumental in preparing people to receive Him back on the earth. He showed her 6 ministries, the first of which was Aglow International.

Graham Cooke

The Art of Thinking Brilliantly

Graham Cooke

Graham Cooke

Once again Graham Cooke brought a challenging message that stirred us to go up higher to take hold of our upgrade. Don’t you just love, Graham?

Key Points From the Message

We’ve all got a story and we’re all on a journey. You don’t need to play a bit part in the movie of your own life. If you don’t like the chapter you’re in, let’s think of what the next chapter will look like and how to stop repeating our present chapter.

“If God grants you something, He expects you to take Him for granted.”

It’s important to get closure on our old story. We’re moving from closure to conversion. We need to be converted to our true identity.

Kingdom Thinking

Graham read Romans 6:3-15. The passage is too long to put in this blog, but I recommend that you read it before going on to have a fuller understanding of his message.

We’re in this world, but we’re in a completely different dimension. We cannot draw our thinking or our practices from the world that is around us, we must align our behavior from the kingdom that is within us. We’re fighting on the victory side to regain control of what has gone on in the world. But first we have to deal with the religious devil that is living in our midst.

It’s foolish to believe that we can be perfected in a manner different than the one God has decreed. It’s foolish to believe that salvation is a gift, but sanctification is earned by our performance. That is a religious spirit and we need to kill that sucker stone dead!

Legalism and religion appeal to the flesh, and we have to resist them both. How do we do that? Consider yourself dead. This is a strategy to get you looking at what you’re not, at what you can’t do, then bring you into condemnation. This is a snake in the house of God and we need to kill.

“God is not dealing with your sin. He’s already dealt with it.”

Behavior Modification vs. The New Creation

Your flesh was too bad to be cleansed. It had to be crucified.

Most teaching in our churches is geared to behavior modification. You don’t become a new person by changing your behavior. You discover the new creation you already are in Christ and you behave accordingly. Everything about you that is against you or negative has been crucified with Christ on the cross, and you are free! The old you cannot be conformed into the image of God, it has to be transformed by being put into Christ.

He came to give us a fully realized presence that we could abide in forever. You are a new creation, so everything about you has to be new – how you think, how you talk, how you walk.

The Holy Spirit to the Rescue

You don’t have a sin nature. You may have a sin habit, but habits are easily broken, and you have the Holy Spirit to help you.

The Holy Spirit is not some little dove that is easily offended. If he was, he’d have to be in therapy for a millennium. He’s a dove because he’s peaceful.

The Holy Spirit has come to take all the things that belong to Jesus and help us take possession of them. Everything is doable to the Holy Spirit. He is the resident genius of heaven here on earth.

Love Eyes

When God looks at you He doesn’t see anything wrong with you. He only sees what’s missing from your experience with Him, and He’s totally committed to giving you that experience. God has not come to change us, He’s come to totally renew us.

Graham’s Dream

In Graham’s dream he was at the top of a hill. Jesus came marching up the hill with a set, annoyed look on His face. When He got to the top He put His finger in Graham’s face and demanded that he give Him back His stuff! Graham didn’t know what He meant, and was confused. Jesus clarified, “All that anxiety, that fear, that worry, that resentment, that anger, that low self-esteem, that poverty mindset, that bitterness, that unbelief – I died for it! I paid a price for it! Give me back My stuff!”

Graham sank to his knees crying. Situation after situation went rolling through his mind. Then Jesus pulled him to his feet, embraced him tenderly and said, “I died that you would never have to deal with that stuff ever again. Graham, all the time that you are dealing with this stuff you can’t receive what I want to give you. It is time for your emotions to grow up. It’s time for your thinking to go to the right level. Your story has to change. All that stuff belongs to Me now, and you can’t have it any more. I have things to give you that will turn you into a completely different man. I have things that you need to say to the world around you, but you can’t do it if you keep that stuff. Give me back my stuff!”

It’s time that we stop choosing worry, anxiety, and fear. It’s time that we started choosing trust and faith, and joy. It’s time we get closure on low self-esteem, a poverty mindset, and victim thinking.

The Cross

The cross means that you can no longer be present-past. That means that you cannot allow anything from the past to affect you adversely in the present. The cross kills off that part of your story. We have to get our stories straight.

You have to be present-future. That means you enjoy who you are now, and you enjoy who you are going to become next. Forget what lies behind and reach out to what lies ahead.

God doesn’t want to talk to you about your behavior; He wants to talk to you about your identity. We have been crucified with Christ. Don’t play dead, stay dead.

God is not dealing with sin; He is establishing your righteousness. He’s not dealing with the old you, He’s dealing with the new you, the true you. If you think you have a problem with fear, you don’t. God is trying to replace your fear and teach you perfect love.

“We’re not dealing with sin and the effects of sin. We’re dealing with righteousness and the effects thereof.”

Stress is not caused some something external, it’s caused by your perception of something.

No one makes you angry, you choose to be angry.

In Closing

If you get this whole thing sorted out you will come into an acceleration that you won’t believe. We need to stop moaning and complaining. That’s the worship language of hell.

You are so much better than this, so much more beautiful than you know, and so much more powerful than you realize. You are a new creation, the old has passed away.

God’s not dealing with the old you, let it rest in peace. He’s dealing with the new you, the true you. He’s establishing in you His own nature.

We are getting our story straight because we have a shot at being the most peaceful, power, triumphant people on the face of the earth.

Wow! Another life changing word from Graham. Can’t wait for the afternoon session with Jane and Rick!

October 4 – Thursday Evening Session

October 6th, 2012 No comments

The Aglow International US National Conference in Ontario, California began with a powerful video recapping the history of Aglow since its inception 45 years ago. From a humble beginning in 1967 with 4 women, Aglow International is now spanning the globe in nearly 170 nations reaching 17 million people.

We are not spending this 45th anniversary looking back, but we are embracing His passion to move onward and upward. We look back and marvel at what we were, marvel at what we are, and marvel at what we are to become. There is an excitement to go to the next level.

Jane Hansen Hoyt opened her message by saying, “What if Aglow was known as a group of radiant encouragers who continually spoke of who God is, and who God is for us? “

Conference Banners

Conference Banners

Initially Aglow was a unique gathering place for the activity of the Holy Spirit to be welcomed and desired. It was a place for women to be inspired, blessed, and encouraged. That is still true, but in the 1980’s we began to understand the power of Genesis 3:15 where the woman exposed the true identity of the enemy calling him the deceiver. This scripture awakened something in our identity preparing us for the days ahead. It is a pivotal point for women and us as a ministry. Satan is not our enemy – we are his enemy.

Banners were brought in conveying aspects of the character and nature of God. He is the Creator, Redeemer, Deliverer, Restorer and Healer.

From Los Angeles to Mumbai, China to Zimbabwe, Aglow groups around the world are demonstrating these expressions of who God is, with feeding programs, Bible schools, public school programs, refugee camps, disaster relief, orphanages, and even Aglow at the city dump in Manilla.

Key Points of the Message

In 2003 a shift began to take place in our identity unplugging us from the past and rewiring us for the future. Prophetic words have been given each successive year leading us into our upgrades, calling us into our identity, and speaking of our arising.

45 years ago women lived with gender based restrictions. The culture defined women by what they could not do. There was an attitude that if anything meaningful happened in the church it would happen through men. The feminists emerged. The June Cleavers knew their place. Both were extremes, both were unhealthy, and both ran counter to Genesis 1:26-28 where God said to the male and the female that they would walk in dominion together in the earth.

In Islam the women wear burkas. Time magazine has described the burka as “a body bag for the living”. The religious system puts a religious burka over women, which runs counter to the plan God has set in place from the beginning.

When Graham Cooke began speaking to us about favor, identity, inheritance, an open heaven, and green lights being given, the burka went flying – the lid popped off, and it was the dawning of a new day.

When a new facet of your identity comes alive in you, there is no going back.

Never in all of history has there been this kind of a worldwide awakening in women. We have seen our identity from a higher perspective.

In 1988 Aglow had it first mission statement – Women’s Aglow Fellowship (as it was known then) provides support, education, training, and ministry opportunities to help women worldwide discover their true identity in Jesus Christ. The language of heaven is about identity from Genesis to Revelation. He tells us who He is, and therefore who we are. We can reach our full potential only after finding our identity in Jesus. Identity, knowing who we are, knowing our purpose, is the key to transformation.

Jesus said to Peter, who do you say that I am? Who he believed Jesus was, became critical to who he would become. If we don’t know who He is, we can never rise to who He has purposed us to be. On this rock, on this foundational truth, is the key to bringing the kingdom of God on the earth. Who do you say that He is?

He is saying to us, “It is the time of your arising. It is time to loose kingdom authority, identity, and the purposes of heaven in the earth”.

God has been hammering this truth about identity because it is the key to the transformation God is bringing in us.

We’ve heard messages about the 7 mountains of influence. Let’s take the mountains that have been spoken over our ministry. The women and men of Aglow have become a voice in the nations of the world. Their vision has been lifted higher.

The enemy has known from the beginning that there is a call, an anointing, an identity, related to the women that has been ordained from heaven and pronounced over him. God is restoring His original intention for women.

God is restoring His original plan for male and female. Expect it, look for it!

We need to go out in the fullness of understanding, of who He is for us and in us, Christ the hope of glory. Christ is the Creator, Redeemer, Deliverer, Restorer and Healer.

What is Aglow in a nutshell? We are a company of women and men who have aligned with heaven for the ultimate purpose of heaven, the ultimate purpose of warfare, to reveal the supremacy, sovereignty, and majesty of God.

Jane ended her message by saying, “He lives in you. Let Him out!”
